Child safety

Last updated: October 2026

Bushiline, a mobile social network born in French Guiana and open to the world, is published by Adplico LTD. These are our standards against child sexual abuse and exploitation: what is prohibited, what protects younger users, how to report a problem to us and what we do next.

1. Zero tolerance

Bushiline prohibits all forms of child sexual abuse and exploitation, everywhere in the app: posts, comments, listings, profiles, messages, groups and sounds. You may not publish, send, request or share:

  • child sexual abuse material: any image, video or text that shows or describes a minor in a sexual situation, including drawn, edited or computer-generated material;
  • sexualisation of a minor: words, captions or images that present them in a sexual way;
  • solicitation of a minor (grooming): gaining their trust to obtain sexual conversations, images or a meeting from them;
  • sextortion: demanding intimate images, or threatening to share them, to obtain money, more images or favours;
  • any offer or request for sexual content or services involving a minor, and trafficking of a minor;
  • any link or pointer to such content.

2. Minimum age

Bushiline is for people aged 16 or older. To create an account, everyone must declare that they are this age. We delete any account we learn belongs to someone younger: if you think a child under 16 is using Bushiline, write to us at support@bushiline.com.

3. Protections in place

  • Age declared at sign-up: no account is created without declaring an age of at least 16.
  • Message requests: a member you do not follow cannot write to you directly; their message arrives in your “Requests”. Until you accept it, they can only send a few messages and do not know whether you have read them. The number of new requests a member can send each day is limited.
  • Hidden media: in a request, photos, videos and voice messages stay hidden, and are not loaded, until you tap “Show”.
  • Blocking: blocking a member hides their content from you; they can no longer write to you, see you on the Globe or invite you to a group, your mutual follows are removed and our moderation team is alerted. The blocked member is not told.
  • Groups: no one is added to a group without agreeing; everyone invited receives an invitation they are free to decline.
  • Word filter: public texts (posts, comments, listings, names, bios) and messages are automatically checked against a list of banned words, including requests for intimate photos and sexual propositions; a text that contains one is refused.
  • Approximate location: Globe location sharing is off by default. If it is turned on, the app rounds the location to about 1 km before sending it; everyone chooses the precision shown, from country down to neighbourhood, and who can see it: everyone, their followers or no one.
  • Photos without metadata: our servers re-encode every photo, which removes its metadata, including GPS location.
  • Human moderation: reports are reviewed by people on our team, who decide on removals and sanctions. Content hidden automatically is only hidden pending their decision.

4. Reporting in the app

Any member can report a post, comment, listing, profile, message, group, sound or Globe location. Tap the share icon on a post or on a sound's page, or “…” on a listing, profile or conversation, then “Report”. For a comment or a message, touch and hold it, then tap “Report”. A group is reported from its page (“Report the group”), and a member's location from their card on the Globe (“…”).

Then choose the reason “Minor in danger” and add details if you wish. A message request from a stranger can be reported or blocked directly, without accepting it.

5. Reporting without an account, or writing to the team

Anyone, even without an account, can report content or behaviour that puts a minor in danger by writing to support@bushiline.com. Give the address of the content or the @handle of the account concerned, and describe what you saw. Never send the image or video itself: its address is enough.

In the app, you can also write to our team: Settings › Help and contact, “Write”, category “Safety”.

If a child is in immediate danger, call the emergency services first: 17 or 112 in France.

6. What we do with a report

  • “Minor in danger” reports go to the top of the moderation queue, ahead of all others. Every report is reviewed within 24 hours.
  • Content reported by several members may be hidden pending our decision.
  • Content that breaks these standards is removed and its author excluded: their account is banned and signed out of all their devices. We may also hide or delete a group.
  • The report keeps a copy of the reported text for our team; for a message, that message and the 10 messages before it. A view-once photo or video reported before it is erased is set aside for the team until it makes its decision.
  • The team's decisions are recorded in a log kept so that we can account for them. Connection data (IP address, date and time) is kept for 1 year, as required by law, including after the account is deleted.

7. Authorities and law enforcement

We report content to the competent authorities where required, in particular child sexual abuse material and content that puts a minor in danger: in France, for example, the PHAROS platform of the Ministry of the Interior. We respond to requests from judicial authorities and law enforcement within the law, and cooperate with their investigations.

You can also report illegal content directly to PHAROS at internet-signalement.gouv.fr.

8. Point of contact

Our designated point of contact for child safety is support@bushiline.com, also reachable at +33 7 43 51 38 01. It answers members, people without an account, organisations and authorities, in French and English.

9. Applicable law

Bushiline complies with the laws that protect children and fight their sexual exploitation, in particular in France, including French Guiana, in the United Kingdom, where Adplico LTD is established, and in the European Union. These standards complement our terms of use (bushiline.com/conditions) and our privacy policy (bushiline.com/confidentialite).
