Terms of use

1. Who we are

Bushiline, meaning the iPhone, iPad and Android app and the bushiline.com website, is published by Adplico LTD, a private limited company registered in England and Wales (Companies House) under number 17289732, whose registered office is at 71-75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London WC2H 9JQ, United Kingdom (“we”).

2. Minimum age

Bushiline is for people aged 16 or over. By creating an account, you confirm that you are. We delete any account we learn belongs to someone younger.

3. Your account

You agree to provide a valid email address, to create only one personal account and not to impersonate anyone.

You are responsible for keeping your sign-in methods (password, passkeys, two-factor authentication, Apple account) confidential and for what is done from your account. Tell us immediately about any unauthorised use.

Your @handle and name must follow the rules of conduct below; we may ask you to change them.

Our team may certify some accounts (“certified” badge) to help members recognise an authentic account. The badge is not shown during a suspension, and the certification is removed if the account changes its @handle.

4. Your content

You keep ownership of the photos, videos, texts, voice notes and listings you publish, and of the group names, photos and descriptions you add. You guarantee that you hold the rights to them, including the image rights of recognisable people.

To run the service, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to host, reproduce, adapt (for example resize or re-encode) and display your content in the app and on bushiline.com share pages, for as long as it is online. This licence ends when you delete the content or your account, subject to copies already shared by other members within the service and to legal retention obligations.

Posts and listings are public: all members can see them and, through a share link, anyone can. So is the page of a public group: its name, photo, description, number of members and the names and photos of some members can be seen by anyone, in the app and on bushiline.com. A hashtag (“#word”) written in a post also makes it appear on that hashtag's page, in the app and on bushiline.com. Messages are only visible to the people in the conversation or the members of the group.

5. Rules of conduct

On Bushiline, you may not publish, send or offer:

• any illegal content, including terrorist content, child sexual abuse material, and incitement to hatred or violence;
• harassment, threats, insults or disclosure of other people's personal information;
• nudity or sexual content, or violent or shocking content;
• scams, spam, fake profiles or impersonation of a person or organisation;
• content that infringes other people's rights (copyright, trademarks, privacy, image rights);
• use of the Globe or messaging to track, monitor or bother someone;
• any attempt to access the service without authorisation, disrupt it, or extract data from it by automated means.

6. Marketplace

The Marketplace lets individuals publish listings and get in touch. No payment, delivery or transaction goes through Bushiline: the sale is concluded directly between buyer and seller, who are solely responsible for it. We are not a party to the sale and give no guarantee about items, listings or members.

Prohibited items include: weapons, ammunition, drugs and medicines, tobacco, e-cigarettes and nicotine products, alcohol, protected animals, counterfeits, stolen goods, dangerous or recalled products, adult content, and anything whose sale is illegal in French Guiana, France or your country.

A listing that names a prohibited item is refused automatically, and any member can report a listing as a “prohibited item”. Professionals selling on the Marketplace must say so and comply with consumer sales rules. Listings expire automatically after a while.

Safety tips: meet in a public place, check the item before paying, never share your bank codes and be wary of requests for payment in advance.

7. Globe

The Globe is optional: location sharing is off by default. If you turn it on, you choose the precision shown, from country down to neighbourhood (about 1 km at the closest), and who can see you (everyone, your followers or no one). You can change or turn off sharing at any time.

Your exact location is never sent, stored or shown: the app rounds it to about 1 km before sending it, then it is reduced to the level you chose and offset within that area. Your location is only updated while the app is open, never in the background.

8. Messaging and groups

You can write directly to members who follow you; others receive a request they are free to accept or decline. Photos, videos and voice notes sent in chat are never public.

You can also create a group conversation or join one. A public group appears in the app's search and on a bushiline.com page, and any member can join it. A private group can only be joined by invitation. No one is added to a group without agreeing: everyone invited is free to accept or decline. A group's admins choose its name, photo, description and whether it is public or private, appoint other admins and can remove a member. Each member sees the messages sent since they joined and can leave the group at any time.

We do not read your conversations. Before sending, the text of a message and the caption of a photo or video are automatically checked by our servers against a list of banned words: a message that contains one is not sent. Search in Messages only looks through the conversations you are part of. When a message is reported, that message and the 10 messages before it become visible to the moderation team — nothing else. When a group is reported, the team sees its name, photo and description, not its messages.

9. Lives

Members of the live programme can broadcast live from the app: you must be at least 18 according to the date of birth you gave, have an account in good standing and, if our team sets one, a minimum number of followers. Any member can watch a live, comment on it and send hearts; the creator's followers may be told that they are live.

During a live, the rules of conduct apply as everywhere else: no nudity, violence, harassment, illegal content or minors put at risk. Comments go through the same filter as the rest of the app.

The creator can remove a viewer from their live. Any member can report a live or a comment. Our moderation team can cut a live at any time; the creator is told and can contest the decision.

Lives are not recorded: the video is only available while it is broadcast and is deleted from our servers within the following 24 hours.

10. Coins, gifts and earnings

Coins are bought in the app, in packs, at the price shown by the App Store or Google Play, which collect the payment. They can only be used to send gifts during lives. They do not expire, but they cannot be refunded, exchanged for money or moved to another account, unless the law provides otherwise or Apple or Google grant a refund.

A gift is final. The creator who receives it is credited with diamonds, at the rate shown in the app (creator share and diamond value, net of the stores' fees). Earnings can be paid out above a minimum threshold, through our payment provider, which collects the creator's bank details and tax information.

If an account is deleted, or blocked for breaking these terms, its coins and unpaid earnings are permanently lost and no further payout is possible. Past purchases stay on record for as long as our accounting obligations require.

We may cancel a gift, hold earnings or suspend payouts in case of fraud, a refunded or disputed purchase, or use contrary to these terms.

11. Reports, moderation and sanctions

Bushiline has zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive members. Every report is reviewed within 24 hours: the content is removed and its author excluded when the rules are broken. Blocking a member immediately hides their content and alerts the moderation team.

Any member can report a post, comment, listing, profile, message, group, sound or Globe location. Anyone, even without an account, can report illegal content to us at support@bushiline.com.

Content reported by several members may be hidden pending our decision. Depending on severity, we may remove content, hide or delete a group, issue a warning, suspend an account (24 hours, 7 days or 30 days) or ban it. You are told the reason and can appeal the decision from the app; your appeal is reviewed by a person.

We report content to the competent authorities where required, in particular content endangering a minor.

12. Bushiline's property

The Bushiline name, logos, design, app and website are protected. You may not reproduce or use them without our written consent, beyond the normal sharing of links.

13. Service availability

Bushiline is free. We do our best to keep it available and safe, but it may be interrupted for maintenance, change, or have features modified or removed. We tell you about important changes in advance where possible.

14. Liability

We host the content published by members: each member is responsible for what they publish and send. We act promptly to remove illegal content as soon as we become aware of it.

To the extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for exchanges, meetings or transactions between members. Nothing in these terms limits the rights you have by law as a consumer.

15. Deleting your account

You can delete your account at any time, in the app or at bushiline.com/supprimer-mon-compte. The account is deactivated immediately; you can cancel by signing in again within 30 days. After that, your account and content are permanently erased.

We may close an account that seriously or repeatedly breaches these terms.

16. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. For important changes, we will tell you in the app before they take effect and ask you to accept the new version. Each version is dated and numbered.

17. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by French law. If there is a problem, please write to us first: we will look for an amicable solution. If you live in the European Union, the European Consumer Centre of your country can help you free of charge (in France: www.europe-consommateurs.eu). You may also bring a claim before the competent court where you live.
